Sweet Pea did not like constantly reapplying sunblock, but it was solar noon and the UV index was super high.
We had some prime real estate so we could sit in our chairs and watch Sweet Pea play in the surf with her friends.
I spent most of the day under the umbrella shade trying not to get any more sun.
For lunch we got bang bang shrimp sandwiches on French bread which is the best thing we’ve gotten on a beach excursion. Crispy fried shrimp in a spicy creamy sauce. It was much tastier than the picture looks.
After lunch Sweet Pa played in the sand under our umbrellas for a bit and then took a wuivk dip in the ocean with her friend before it was time to go. Sweet Pea and I went ahead to the bus while Grandma Trudy picked up some last minute sea shells. Sweet Pea was worn out and was sound asleep on my shoulder before the bus pulled away.
The shops along the pier port were different than the last time because is the hurricane, but Sweet Pea did manage to spot our little macaroon stand, now in a new location. $20 bought us a bag of 12 French macaroons to enjoy later.
Goodbye St Maarten!
