Ross ordered “vichyssois”, a potato and leek soup, which was good but very thin. He also ordered beef carpaccio which was excellent.
Trudy Sweet Pea and I all ordered really delicious blue cheese “soufflés” (really more of a warm terrine). The soufflé was so rich that Grandma Trudy couldn’t finish it and asked the waiter for a doggy bag. He instead suggested that he just have a new one delivered to her room later in the evening.
For my main course, I had the red snapper which was a little more fishy than I would have liked.
Sweet Pea ordered orecchiette pasta. She likes it, but the rest of us thought it was bland.
Grandma Trudy and Ross both ordered filet mignon and enjoyed it. Grandma Trudy had the good idea to order the vegetarian dish, baby vegetables in a lemon sauce, for the entire table. They were delicious.
