Embarkation

This morning we made it to the hotel breakfast, which was pretty good.  Cheese omelettes  and bacon, waffles and fresh fruit.

We took a 30 minute shuttle from the hotel to the port.  Since Grandma Trudy felt like she needed a wheelchair, we were escorted quickly through the line to the elevators and through check-in.  After we were aboard. Shannon went ahead to the buffet to try to find a seat and scored a lovely outside table. The weather was perfect and the view of Miami was interesting.

Shannon got her usual Embarkation buffet lunch of Caesar salad.  Other hits were minute steaks, a slice of rare prime rib and a beef curry.

Sweet Pea was taking her Watetmelon Tropic drunk very seriously.

A post-lunch selfi.

We headed to the pool.  Shannon sat in the shade and blogged a bit while talking to Grandma Trudy.

Ross and Amelia were either wrestling or putting on sunblock before their swim.

Ross and Amelia swam up until the very last minute before the Mistetnstatuon safety drill so they attended in their swim suites.

There was a mix up and our sea pass cards did not show that we had adrinkkpaxjage on them.  Shannon had to go to the customer service desk to get them fixed.  There was quite a line since it was the first day.  The representative  could not find any info about our drink paxkage so she had to call the shoreside office, which was able to get things straightened out.

When Shannon returned to the room, there were afternoon snacks waiting.

We ate a few bites and drank hevke tea as we watched us sail away from Miami.

One especially cool part was seeing the exact spot where we had been in South Point Beach yesterday.

Goodbye Miami!
