Sea Day One - Lunch

Blu is not open for lunch so we went to the main dining room.  The service was rushed.  Ross asked the waiter for suggestions and was told that “it depends on your tastes.  Everything is good!”  Which it turns out was not true.  Lol.

Amelia ordered a non-alcoholic peach sangria. When not on vacation, she usually gets milk or water, so she really loves all of these fancy sugary drinks.

The mozzarella sticks were the best appetizer. We have had them before and they are always a good bet.

Trudy ordered streak which was good. Amelia ordered oricchetta pasta with pesto that she liked a lot.

Ross ordered turkey cutlets, which was a mistake.  For starters, it was turkey.  And it was also way too salty.

Shannon’s teriyaki duck with shiitake mushrooms and jasmine rice was good. Also a bit too salty.

For dessert, Grandma Trudy tried to order crème brûlée but the waiter said it wasn’t on the menu and he couldn’t get it for her.  She ordered a strawberry shortcake instead.  Amelia ordered a very good peach cobbler.

Ross ordered pecan pie, which was inedible.  Ross thought it was perhaps even spoiled. We told the waiter who actually sent someone out from the kitchen.  He apologized and told us that it had been undercooked.   He offered to make Ross a new batch tomorrow.

Looking forward to returning to Blu tonight for dinner!
